Mrs. Nonye Soludo, wife of the Anambra State Governor, has granted a full-time scholarship to Master Chukwuemeka Nwuzor, an eight-year-old math prodigy who recently gained attention through a viral video showcasing his extraordinary talent.
The announcement came today after Mrs. Soludo personally met with Chukwuemeka and his family. She revealed that this scholarship will cover the entirety of his education, from primary school through to any higher education level he aspires to reach, ensuring that he receives the best possible schooling.
The young math genius, who hails from Nibo in Awka South Local Government Area, was seen in the viral video effortlessly solving complex mathematical problems, including advanced formulas and numerical equations. His remarkable abilities caught the attention of Mrs. Soludo, prompting her to locate his family swiftly.
During their meeting at the Governor’s Lodge in Amawbia, Mrs. Soludo spent time with Chukwuemeka, his father, and his younger brother. To verify his skills, she tested him with various mathematical questions using a calculator. Impressively, Chukwuemeka answered all the questions correctly, further proving his exceptional talent.
Following the impromptu test, Mrs. Soludo proudly announced her commitment to sponsoring Chukwuemeka’s education, ensuring he receives comprehensive support and mentorship to nurture his extraordinary abilities. She emphasized that Chukwuemeka’s unique talent is a rare gift and vowed to provide all necessary support to help him thrive.
In her advice to Chukwuemeka’s parents, Mrs. Soludo recommended that they avoid pressuring him to advance through school grades too quickly. Instead, she encouraged them to allow him to progress at a pace that best nurtures his talent, ensuring his skills develop naturally and effectively.
