The American International School of Abuja (AISA) has proactively reached out to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to facilitate the return of $760,000 in school fees previously paid for the children of former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello.
Bello purportedly utilized state funds to cover the tuition fees, totaling $720,000, for his five children attending grades 2 to 8 at the school.
In an effort to ensure transparency and compliance, AISA has requested authentic banking details from the EFCC for the reimbursement process.
This move comes amidst EFCC’s recent operation on April 17th, where they attempted to apprehend Bello at his residence in Abuja, related to an alleged N80.2 billion fraud case.
