Algeria’s Football Federation eyes Jose Peseiro, former coach of Nigeria, to take over as their next manager following Djamel Belmadi’s dismissal post a disappointing Africa Cup of Nations campaign.
Peseiro, who steered Nigeria to the 2023 AFCON final, is being considered by Algerian Football Federation President Walid Sadi as the preferred candidate for the job.
While other contenders like Vladimir Petkovic and Carlos Queiroz were initially on the shortlist, Peseiro’s track record and appeal have positioned him as the frontrunner.
