In light of the tragic deaths within the Nigerian film community, the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has announced a four-day prayer initiative aimed at seeking divine protection for its members.
The industry mourned the loss of several prominent figures, including veteran actor and comedian, John Ikechukwu Okafor (Mr. Ibu), Yoruba actor Sisi Quadri, actor-producer-comedian Amaechi Muonagor, and actor Junior Pope Odunwodo, who tragically perished in a drowning incident alongside five others.
AGN, in collaboration with Pastor Jerry Eze of Streams of Joy International, will lead the prayer sessions from May 2nd to May 5th, 2024. The initiative seeks to address the recent string of deaths and prevent future tragedies.
AGN President Emeka Rollas emphasized the importance of spiritual intervention to overcome these challenges, urging members and supporters worldwide to participate in the prayer sessions.
