Jeremiah Bledsoe, an 18-year-old African-American student from Fort Worth, Texas, has achieved an extraordinary feat by securing admissions to over 40 colleges and universities across the United States, all thanks to his dedicated service to the elderly.
Bledsoe’s remarkable commitment to serving the elderly has not gone unnoticed, as he has received numerous accolades and grants, including the Hershey Heartwarming Hero award, the Power of Youth Award, and recognition from Youth Service of America.
For the past decade, Bledsoe has been actively involved in visiting local nursing homes and providing essential items to elderly residents, demonstrating his unwavering dedication to making a positive impact in his community.
In explaining his motivation, Bledsoe cited the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly focusing on SDG 3: Health, in response to the global pandemic. He emphasized the importance of not neglecting the well-being of the elderly during these challenging times.
