In the Owerri West Local Government Area of Imo State, at Ohii intersection, eight people have been taken into custody on suspicion of killing a suya vendor.
State Commissioner of Police Aboki Danjuma made this revelation after conducting an on-the-spot inspection at the crime scene on Friday.
He denounced the brutal assassination of the vendor of grilled meat, or suya, and two other people at Ohii in the state’s Owerri West LGA.

He gave the order to immediately send tactical teams and operational assets to work in tandem with other sister security agencies to find the criminals behind the heinous act of violence.
According to him, the suspects are the subject of a thorough investigation at the moment and have given the authorities helpful information.
The CP said the Command was in control of the situation and urged the general population, especially the locals, to go about their legal business without fear or intimidation.
