Imo And Abia Governors Advocate For Audit Of NDDC Projects During Minister’s Visit

Governors Hope Uzodimma of Imo State and Alex Otti of Abia State have requested that the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Abubakar Momoh, carry out a comprehensive audit of unfinished projects financed by the Federal Government through the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), according to a recent statement from the Ministry of Niger Delta Development.

When necessary, the goal is to make sure that these initiatives are completed. Governor Uzodimma emphasised the value of stakeholder cooperation during the minister’s visit to Imo State in order to promote sustained peace, economic empowerment, and infrastructure development in the Niger Delta region. In order to foster an environment that is conducive to progress, he particularly emphasised the necessity of evaluating unfinished projects and reassigning the Amnesty Officer within the Ministry.

During Momoh’s visit to the state, Governor Otti of Abia State expressed similar views, stressing the significance of finishing unfinished projects to produce significant development effects. In this regard, the minister pledged his help. As part of initiatives to promote development and fortify relationships within the Niger Delta, Minister Momoh undertook a thorough inspection tour of ongoing projects throughout Abia State, including road construction, land reclamation, and school repair. He urged more cooperative efforts to reduce insecurity and streamline project implementation throughout the area.
