Troops Raid IPOB/ESN Camp In Ebonyi, Neutralize One, Recover Arms

 

Acting on credible intelligence, the Joint Task Force South East Operation UDO KA’s Sector 2 (EBONYI) troops, along with members of the NPF, DSS, and NSCDC, successfully carried out a raid operation on Thursday against the armed affiliate of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), the Eastern Security Network (ESN), at their camp at Mgbalukwu in Inyimagu, Izzi Local Government Area, Ebonyi State.

 

According to the authorities, one IPOB member was neutralized when troops came into touch with the terrorists during the operation, while other members retreated into the surrounding woodlands. One AK-47 rifle, two AK-47 magazines, 54 rounds of 7.62mm Special ammunition, and three stolen Sienna busses are among the items that were found.

In a statement, Major General HT Dada, the Force Commander of Joint Task Force South Operation UDO KA, expressed gratitude for the cooperation between the military and other security authorities.

 

All law-abiding South East residents were exhorted by the army to consistently furnish prompt, dependable, and trustworthy information via the Force’s Emergency Line 193, selecting Option 2 to communicate with a contact center agent.
