Egwu, Ex-YPP State Assembly Candidate, Defects To LP In Abia State

Arua Goodluck Egwu, the Young Progressives Party’s (2023) House of Assembly candidate for Abia State’s Ohafia South seat, has switched to the state’s ruling Labour Party (LP).

This occurs just a day after Jerry Uzosike, a former member of the Abia State House of Assembly, switched from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the Labour Party (LP) following a meeting with Governor Alex Otti on Monday.

However, Mr. Egwu said he made the brave decision after extensive consultations with important political stakeholders and hundreds of his supporters across five local electoral wards in Ohafia South State Constituency. The resignation letter was sent to the YPP Chairman of Ebem Ward in Ohafia local government area of Abia State and was provided to newsmen on Tuesday.
