Gov. Otti, LP NWC, Reconcile Aggrieved Edo Aspirants In Umuahia

 

On Wednesday night in Umuahia, the National Working Committee of the Labour Party (LP), under the leadership of Barr Julius Abure, the party’s national chairman, and Alex Otti, the governor of Abia State, made amends with the disgruntled members of the Edo LP candidates.

This was in reaction to Barr. Olumide Akpata’s declaration in their most recent primaries as the state’s gubernatorial candidate.

After the early-morning meeting ended on Thursday, Abia State Governor Dr. Alex Otti gave attendees his word that he will legitimately support Barr. Olumide Akpata, the Labour Party’s candidate for governor of Edo State.

In order to increase Akpata’s chances of winning the next election, this support includes measures to promote reconciliation.

Governor Otti emphasized his preparedness for the upcoming elections and voiced confidence in Barr Akpata’s ability to run in the election.

Barr Abure highlighted the dedication and fervor of the Labour Party in serving the people while praising Governor Alex Otti for his accomplishments in Abia State in his brief nine months in office.

In the upcoming Edo State governorship election, he expressed hope about winning.

The LP National Secretary, Ahl. Farouk Umar, the LP National Organizing Secretary, Chief Clement Ojukwu, the National Woman Leader, Madam Dudu Manuga, and the Chairman of the Abia State Labour Party, Chief Ceekey Igara, were among the other dignitaries present at the ceremony.
