IPMAN Threatens To Shut Filling Stations In Anambra Over Multiple Taxation

If action is not taken over the repeated and unlawful taxation of its members in Anambra State, the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, or IPMAN, Enugu Depot, warns that it will be forced to close filling stations in the state.

Not long after being re-elected for a second term, Mr. Chinedu Anyaso, the Association’s chairman, made this announcement.

Anyaso claimed that Anambra State was primarily plagued by the problem of unlawful and double taxation.

He claimed that organizations like ASWAMA, signage, Ocha Brigade, and others were still coming to collect money despite an agreement with the state government, and in the process, they were detaining and arresting their members and employees.
