Dr. Busola Tejumola, Executive Head of Content and West Africa Channels at MultiChoice West Africa, expressed her anticipation for the event, highlighting its growth and recognition since its inception in 2013. “The 10th edition of the AMVCA marks a significant milestone in our journey to celebrate African talent and creativity,” she remarked.
This year’s edition commemorates a decade of excellence in African cinema and television, honoring the remarkable contributions of filmmakers, actors, and industry professionals who captivate audiences across the continent and beyond.
A total of 25 categories will showcase winners, including 16 non-voting, 9 audience voting categories, and recipients of 2 recognition awards – Lifetime Achievement and Trailblazer Awards.
Sponsored categories encompass a range of accolades, with leading brands such as Verve, Quickteller, Amstel Malta, Martell, TECNO, MTN, Indomie, and Nivea supporting various segments.
